What the Hell...

               ...is this?

My hobbies are writing and instructing spin classes. This blog is an intersection of the two. Essays about music, songs, bands, workouts. Posts about other topics, my other hobbies -- running, bicycling, reading, parenting, or just general literary rabble and riffraff -- will show up on Unrelated Jabber.

My twice-weekly class is at 5:30 AM in Gettysburg, PA. Expect an hour of eclectic and raucous music spanning six decades. We are pretty much "on" for the whole hour, so come early to warm up and stay late to cool down. This ride is challenging. Each workout includes alternating climbs, sprints & tempo-flats. Rides will also include standing runs and jumps, but these are typically done in a cyclist fashion. Many workouts include H.I.I.T. drills to improve strength and endurance. Continual focus on cadence ensures that riders are actively working throughout the session. If you are interested in giving this class a try, contact me - we'll work something out.

New riders, please come early to get help with your bike setup.
